The Ceylon Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CMAC) was set up and established in 2019 mainly for commercial dispute resolution.
The Ceylon Mediation and Arbitration Centre (“CMAC”) act as a neutral and independent venue for the conduct of commercial arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. The stakeholders we serve as we remain dedicated to providing the best possible services and innovations in the industry, focusing on alternative dispute resolution, dispute avoidance and holistic dispute management.
We take pride in remaining loyal to our stakeholders for the past 3 years.
CMAC aspires to continue to be a provider of support as a neutral and independent venue for the conduct of arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
The Centre is mostly concentrating on commercial arbitrations and especially the Centre after the Covid-19 situation and escalating cost of transportation has started commercial arbitrations in all areas of Sri Lanka including North and South whereby the Centre hires church halls, schools and temples where it becomes much easier for the clients to attend via modes of hybrid, virtual and in person.

    What are your opening time?

    We are officially open from 9.00am – 5.00pm – Monday to Friday except for Public holidays.


    Can we park at the CMAC?

    We do have limited parking on a first come first served basis.


    Are you Covid-safe?

    We closely follow government guidelines. Our staff sanitize regularly, wear masks in the common areas and adhere to social distancing. Our premises are deep cleaned thrice a week. 


    How can we book an arbitration session?

    By simply contacting the given contact details on the website.


    How much do arbitrations cost?

    The cost of arbitration depends on the jurisdiction and arbitration rules involved. However, these fees are usually less than those that parties would have to pay if they were to pursue court litigation. 


    Can you shred or return documents to us?

    We can arrange secure shedding or the delivery of documents as per your requirement.


    Is it possible to securely store papers at the CMAC prior to, pre or post hearing?

    We have secure storage facilities at the premises.

    All rooms are air-conditioned.
